The Assassin is Forsaken World's glass-cannon rogue — high single-target burst, stealth opener, and the ability to make a soft target dead inside three or four GCDs if everything lines up. The class lives or dies on its skill ceiling: an average Assassin frustrates their own group; an excellent Assassin defines the outcome of every PvP encounter they're in.

How Assassin plays

The Assassin's identity is the stealth opener. You enter combat invisible, position behind your target, and unload a coordinated burst sequence before the enemy can react. If the burst kills, you get out clean. If it doesn't, the second half of the fight is where most Assassins die — your survivability without stealth is significantly below other classes, and your defensive cooldowns are short and limited.\n\nIn PvE the Assassin is a clear single-target DPS slot. Boss fights with predictable phases let you stack burst windows and sustain DPS that competes with any class. Trash pulls are weaker — without strong AoE you'll fall behind on cleave. In PvP the Assassin is a roamer: pick off the healer, then disappear when the enemy team turns on you. Knowing when to engage and when to wait is the entire skill expression of the class. New players almost universally die a lot for the first 30 levels — the kit doesn't click until the talent tree opens up your real cooldowns.

Pros

  • Highest single-target burst in classic FW
  • Stealth opener gives positional control over engagements
  • Deeply rewarding to play well — high skill ceiling
  • Effective ganker / objective lockdown in territory wars

Cons

  • Punishing skill floor — bad Assassins drag groups
  • Very low effective HP without stealth/cooldowns up
  • Weak AoE — falls behind on multi-target trash

Best for

Experienced MMO players who want a high-skill PvP roamer and don't mind dying often while learning when to commit and when to walk away.

Assassin — frequently asked questions

Is the Assassin good for new players?
Not really. Assassins wear light armor and fold under pressure if caught in the open — playing one well requires reading the battlefield, choosing targets, managing stealth cooldowns, and knowing when to disengage. Mediocre play is genuinely frustrating. Recommended as a second or third character once you know the game's rhythm.
What race pairs best with the Assassin?
Human or Lycan. Humans are balanced and fit any build; Lycans bring extra mobility that compounds the class's natural slipperiness. Both are common picks; the choice usually comes down to which racial passive you prefer and which lore you find more compelling.
Is the Assassin strong in PvP?
Yes — one of the best PvP burst classes in Forsaken World when played well. A clean stealth opener can drop an unprepared target in seconds. The class is also a frequent counter-pick against squishy DPS and healers in organized PvP. The trade-off is that being caught out without stealth cooldowns is usually fatal.
